In September, General Tire celebrated the brand’s centenary in Las Vegas in the company of 20 tyre dealers from 16 European countries.
Along with the centenary celebrations, which of course focused on the history of the brand and its robust, innovative products, the guests also had opportunities to sample the performance of selected products for themselves. These included taking part in the “Zero1 Odyssey Experience” off-road adventure and a driver training session in American muscle cars at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Another highlight was a visit to Team General Tire who were contesting the “Lucas Oil Short Course Night Race” – equipped of course with the appropriate off-road tyres – also at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
The grand “100 Years” celebrations rounded off the centenary promotional tour that began in March of this year and took General Tire more than 150,000 kilometers across Europe. The tour set out to inform consumers and dealers about the brand, its heritage, and its current product portfolio. At the same time there were attractive prizes to be won, including a five-day trip to Crete for two, including a 4x4 safari across the Mediterranean island.
