Rallye Plaines et Vallees

"We entered this Rallye which took place in Saint Andre de L'Eure, Normandie over the weekend of 29/30th November, a rallye that I last entered 20 years ago. The first day we had some good stage times and some very interesting results with a 2nd on one stage and many top four places, our Defender is more suited to the technical type of stage of which on the first day we only had two but still finished the day in 5th place with no mishaps but found our lights were not as good as they should have been for the night stages.

Sunday morning was very foggy with poor visibility and with two stages that I had never seen before and we had an early overshoot into a 90 right which lost us about 15 seconds on the first stage, second stage was good and we did very well even though we had a small detour into a field at about 90mph with no damage.

The third stage went very well as I had seen this stage before and was more technical that the others, I like the technical stages more as our "Cimes Tractor" is more suited to the rough and wooded stages, we managed 2nd on this stage on all three passes, even though we managed to have a close encounter with a rather large "tyre" on one corner.
We were slowly working our way up the leader board and finished in 3rd place overall (4x4 production) only beaten by two very powerful V8 Jeeps.
Another great result for us and General Tire, yet again no problems with tyres which performed 100%, many thanks for your support.

We have some great plans for next year and will be sticking with the Defender 110 TD5 and adding a 6 Speed Sequential Gearbox along with new suspension all round so hoping for bigger and better results.
We are planning 6 events in France and one in Iceland for 2015, wish us luck and yet again very many thanks for General Tires support, fantastic tyres.
